Cult label Abercrombie & Fitch opens its first German flagship store in Düsseldorf on the KÖ-West
Abercrombie & Fitch is offering its complete range for men, women, and children on an impressive 1,700 m² sales floor, making this flagship location on Düsseldorf’s Königsallee high street the largest Abercrombie & Fitch store worldwide.
On 25 November 2011, A&F models were already stationed in front of the building promoting the brand and the upcoming grand opening on 1 December 2011. This advance publicity campaign attracted large crowds of people and caused storefront traffic jams on the KÖ-West.
The office building, which had stood empty for an extended period, was remodeled in record time and the first subareas of the building were handed over to A&F in early March 2011. All remaining sections of the approximately 4,000 m² total area were made available free of defects and on schedule for further tenant build-outs in June 2011. A&F was therefore able to perform its desired shopfitting as per agreement and meet the scheduled opening date.
IKP Immobiliengruppe coordinated the property purchase for RMA Management and also arranged the sale to the end investor Aachener Grund. IKP advised RMA Management on tenancy and leasing and negotiated the rent contract with Abercrombie & Fitch.
